Finding cute clothes for a boy is quite a chore.? Couple that with a very picky little man and it is? near impossible to dress my little guy for the summer.? Lately, all he has been wanting to wear is space shirts.? He only has 2 of them, so you can imagine the struggle I am faced with every morning when trying to dress him.
Caroline is a whole other story.? She isn?t old enough to resist, so I am putting her in dresses and bows to my heart?s content!? This is the first and only time I will be able to dress a little girl and I am enjoying every minute of it!
Recently I was asked to shop at CookiesKids.com to update my children?s wardrobe for the summer.? This was my first experience shopping at CookiesKids, so I was very excited to learn more about the site.
In 1972, a young man named Cookie and his brother Marvin went into business together. They rented a 1600 square foot store in Jamaica, Queens, fixed it up, bought inventory and Summer and Fall, and opened a day after Thanksgiving with a full stock of holiday toys. The toys were a success and they put the extra money toward buying children?s clothing for the next season. When that did well, they bought more clothing. The business was on it?s way.
As the brothers Cookie, Marvin and Sonny, who had come in as a third partner in the business, began to open new stores in new locations, inventory expanded. Besides the latest fashions, our customers wanted shoes, toys, backpacks and accessories and we were prepared to deliver.
By the late 1990?s there were six superstores throughout the NYC area, and though they previously had different names, by that time they were all named Cookie?s Kids. Also in the late ?90s came an important addition to Cookie?s Kids? inventory: school uniforms. It was the steady success in uniform sales that paved the way for founding CookiesKids.com in 2007, which originally sold uniforms and soon after the entire Cookie?s Kids Inventory.
I was amazed at the selection of clothing at CookiesKids.com.? There were casual clothes, dressy clothes and everything in between!? Just check out my boys clothing Polyvore I created from the selection at CookiesKids:
I wanted to find an outfit that Jonah would live in for the summer as well as a dressier top to wear to outdoor special events that we have planned for the summer.? I also wanted to find Caroline a cute dress to wear while we are in Idaho next week!? It was very easy to navigate through CookiesKids.
I was impressed with the selections of short sets for boys.? I will check out the sets first because I find that they are usually the best economical choice when shopping for clothes.? Look at some of the selection I found:One of the easiest (and cheapest) ways to update a wardrobe for an infant or baby is by adding socks!? Caroline?s shoe collection doesn?t quite fit her yet so I am stocking up on cute socks for now. ? Socks come in so many different styles, and there are even socks available that look like shoes.? Check these socks out that I got from CookiesKids:
I had a number of cute summer dresses to pick from for Caroline.? I finally decided on a pink flowered sundress that screamed Kathy Caroline!
?
I don?t think you could find a cuter dress if you tried! Now both of my kids are ready for the summer!
How do you spruce up your children?s wardrobe for the summer?? Have you shopped at CookiesKids.com before?? I would love to hear about your experiences!
